Add Buttons To Run Workflows To Records?

I remember seeing this was something that you guys were going to work on adding in the future but I just wanted to follow up. I'd like to see the ability of add buttons from the UI to record views that allow to run a assigned workflow. For example lets say I want to send a welcome email on new accounts at the push of a button. I would setup the workflow in backend then somewhere add that button to a certain entity. Is this something in the works?
