    Campaigns

I note that Espo does not have Campaigns.

If you are thinking of dropping 'Prospects' can we have Campaigns/Projects instead please?

I understand you don't mean Mass Mailing feature. Can you describe how you think Campaigns will be used in EspoCRM.
If you find EspoCRM good, we would greatly appreciate if you could give the project a star on GitHub. We believe our work truly deserves more recognition. Thanks.

I think that if you are going to do Mass-Mailing through a third-party app like Mail-Chimp / phpList, then you need to be able to select a very specific & defined target group to be included in a .csv for mailing. e.g. all Accounts and Opportunities who play golf.

Campaigns: to my mind this includes some Projects also. Some examples.
      (1) a revolutionary new packaging for your product.
      - talking to suppliers
      - getting feedback from customers
      - pricing from packaging companies
      - setting up a limited trial
      - marketing campaign to introduce to customers
      - PR campaign to 'shout' it to public
      - mass-mailing to Opportunities to encourage them
      - running a competition with customers - biggest sales of new packaging wins
      - results of competition and pictures of smiling winners

      (2) Extending your business into a new country
      - collect data to support business case
      - start building contacts
      - identify resources needed
      - investigate other companies who have gone before you - mistakes, wins, advice
      - look into possible grants or special economic zones
      - investigate tax and regulatory implications
      - identify best city / area for business
      - find office space
      - set-up 1 or 2 man reconnaissance office

      (3) looking to expand your business by take-overs:
      - talk to customers about likely targets
      - identify which business segment gives you best added value
      - check regulatory and tax implications
      - identify shared customers / suppliers
      - etc

      (4) launch 4-in-1 shampoo : shapoo + conditioner + anti-dandruff + anti-grey-hairs
      - run focus group studies
      - consult with customers & suppliers
      - compare with competitors
      - etc

Each one of these examples could be described as a Campaign or Project and could be broken down into smaller campaigns or projects. Each stage needs to be further broken down into Tasks and these tasks will need to be achieved through interaction with third-parties (normally).

Perhaps this larger Project / Campaign is beyond the current scope of Espo, but a sub-project or sub-campaign might not be.

This is a better direction than accounting / invoicing / stock IMHO.

BTW - this is very painful FORUM software (keeps logging me out and is slowwwww)

Sure we will create Campaigns and Target List entities in future when we make the integration with MailChimp or something else. It's not a big deal.

The company I work for performs training workshops and webinars so we use campaigns to track those as well.

Do you use it as a mass emailing?
