I like to put everyone in the CRM - lawyers, loss adjusters, insurance companies, press contacts, market gardeners.

Why, if I put 'Lawyer' in Details, does it not come up in a search for Lawyer.

A good search feature is essential.

I don't understand what you mean. You can add new fields to the search in Layout Manager

I'll give you an example.

Perhaps I am a keen golfer. Whenever I set up a customer I make a note in the 'Description' field if he plays golf e.g. 'golfer'.

If I later do a search for 'golf' - nothing comes up.

Now text search looks up only in the name field. But it can be easily customized. In future will do some UI for that. There are so many vital features we need to implement besides that one.
