Custom reminders

I am looking for a way to add reminder to the starttime in the task-module, similar to the reminder in the meeting module.
Is there a way to do that in ver 4.2.4 or is this a feature request? :-)

Now you can use workflow for such things.
You can add custom field reminder date or use date end field.
