    Message Start Event

    Hi all,

Currently we have in BPM an "Message Intermediate Event" and an "Message Intermediate Event Boundary". It would be awesome to have also an "Message Start Event".

This would help us during cleanup of an cold outreach email flow with multiple stages. We could have an sub-process which catches this event and then sets the lead to "engaged" (this is an custom field of us).

    Best regards,
    Julian

    Hi,

We'll consider. As a workaround, the boundary event can be used I think.

      Thank you!
Unfortunately in this case not because we need access to the value of an process variable of the flow and in the boundary event handler, it is not available.

But we found an workaround by using a second flow to broadcast on email status imported with parent type is lead (which we are interested). In this case we send a broadcast with the parentId and receive it in the lead flowchart by registering for the event with placeholder {id}.

As workaround: Do you have a hint for me what I need to set to create an global trigger that is only executed when I receive an email from the lead and not when an email is sent to the lead or the lead is in cc or something?

Tried this but it does not work reliably:

I could check something like the sentById but I'm not sure...

I think that checking for Sent By is Empty should work. It's supposed to be set to the internal user who is determined as the email sender.
