It would be nice to have but not sure how difficult it would be to do. As we use our own language parser, it's not a matter of configuration.

would really help in debugging very long formulas by people with more enthusam then coding experience, maybe in v 10

It would be extremely helpful to know exactly what line an error occurred on, rather than just seeing “error happened.”

Please consider adding more detailed feedback for the formula editor’s syntax check—it would make debugging much faster and less frustrating.
