Payment Receipts, Credit Notes, Customer Ledger, and Payment Allocation in Sales Pack

It's partly implemented, as I mentioned before. Customer balance summary report prints balances for customers. Detailed AR sub-ledger report (printing all transactions) is not implemented. Though by clicking on a customer in the summary report, the user can view transactions that contributed to the current balance.
Note that sales pack reports require advanced pack.
Important: These reports will be applicable only for new invoices and payments (as mentioned in the release blog post). As the reports use amounts converted to the Local currency. These amounts fields did not exist before. -
I'm not able to provide any timelines. Detailed AR sub-ledger is not planned at the moment. Customer balance reports likely will be implemented relatively soon.Leave a comment:

Hello Yuri,
I am writing this message to check whether there is any plan regarding this. If yes, could you please share the estimated timeline?
I understand that you are very busy, but I kindly request you to take some time to review this request when possible.
Thank you.Leave a comment:

Hello EspoCRM Team, yuri
I hope you are doing well.
Last time you mentioned:“I think there's a chance that we implement a customer ledger in Sales Pack in future. Not the double entry ledger, but a simple one, with transactions per customer (Account entity). Maybe the next year.”
We would like to kindly ask if there is any update, timeline, or roadmap regarding this feature.
This functionality is extremely important for our daily accounting and customer and supplier credit management.
We have attached a sample image for reference. We are looking for a ledger-style view where we can see:- Sales invoices
- Payments received
- Credit notes
- Allocations
- Outstanding balances
all in one place.
This should not be limited only to Customers (Accounts) — we also need the same functionality for Suppliers (Vendors) so that we can maintain Supplier Statements / Purchase Ledgers showing:- Purchase invoices
- Supplier payments
- Credit notes
- Outstanding payables
Report Structure We Are Looking For
We have already designed and tested three report formats and are looking for similar functionality inside EspoCRM: 1) Ledger Summary / Balance Report
This report shows:- Total charges (invoice total including VAT/Tax, freight, and other charges)
- Total credit (payments received + credit notes)
- Allocations
- Outstanding balance
This provides a clear snapshot of a customer’s or supplier’s financial position.
2) Detailed Ledger Report (with Running Balance)
This report shows transaction-level entries with separate columns for:- Taxable amount
- VAT / Tax
- Freight
- Credit (payments & credit notes)
- Outstanding balance
The Outstanding Balance should be auto-calculated as a running balance, for example:- Invoice A: 5,000 → Outstanding: 5,000
- Invoice B: 6,000 → Outstanding: 11,000
- Credit / Payment: 2,000 → Outstanding: 9,000
This running balance is critical for reconciliation, follow-ups, and audit.
3) Ledger Summary (Totals)
This report should show:- Total charges
- Total credit
- Total freight
- Total tax
- Final outstanding balance
This is used for management reporting and decision-making.
We are looking for all three of these reports for both:- Customers (Sales Ledger)
- Suppliers (Purchase Ledger)
Additionally, we request more flexibility in custom report generation, including the ability to filter by:- Date range
- Customer / Supplier
- Transaction type
- Outstanding balances
These features would significantly enhance EspoCRM’s value as a combined CRM and financial operations platform.
Thank you very much for your continued support.
Best regards,
Yubraj Kafle

In the next feature release we're going to add the ability to allocate a Credit Note to Invoices. The way Payments are allocated now.👍 1Leave a comment:

It's ready but delayed due to non-technical reasons. I hope it will be released soon.Leave a comment:

yuri Thank you so much for adding these much-needed features. We're really looking forward to the V3 release!
I would also like to kindly request the addition of reporting features—particularly Customer Ledger and Vendor Ledger, as mentioned in my earlier post. These reports are essential for tracking balances and understanding transaction histories for each contact.
Thanks again for your continued efforts and dedication!

Hi,
just for information :
my location is Belgium, so : EU Law
https://www.europeanpaymentscouncil....ure-initiation
There are some library on github with :
Sepa QrCode
Sepa Xml
And this data is very "good design" : "AT-T009 The Remittance Information (Structured)"
It's like "Iban" .. 12 digit but last 2digit is modulo, so it's unique to a "Account".
So .. i don't know, EspoCrm is worldwide.. and how Bank in the world work or give you data.
Sorry if this is not relevant information.
