We are working with cases or Tasks. In Cases there are "Sidebar Activity and History", but it's missing very much in Task's entity by default.
For single task completion there are a need for mail or call or even meeting with others, so "Activity" functionality could help a lot, like in Cases we has and use it for Helpdesk purposes.
