  • Mailchimp: Search Field doesn't work

    Hi,

when we go to "MailChimp Campaign Sync" --> "Select: MailChimp Campaigns" ten campaigns are listed.
Unfortunatly we actually have over 1.500 campaigns in MailChimp, which we will have to filter to find / map the right one.

Neither *searchstring* nor "exact unique searchstring" is working.

    Specs:
    =====
    EspoCRM Version 5.7.5
    MailChimp Integration 1.0.3

Mailchimp Sync generally is working, API is connected, opt-out is working as well.

Only the search filed is not working, also in "Select: MailChimp Lists".

    What's wrong?
    Is something else missing?

    Thanks and best regards,

    Hi,

They've changed something in their API. I will take a look.

      Thanks!

BTW: It would be also cool if we can sort by: Name | Date Sent.

      But searching first ;-)

No, We can't do it. API abilities are limited. We can search only by full words now. WIll be added to the next version. No search by part is available anymore.

OK. Thanks a lot for your effort.
          I really appreciate, EspoCRM rocks!

Can you give me an example for "full words" and "search by part"?

For example we sort campaigns and list as follows and then have to adjust our strategy resp. behaviour in creating lists or campaings:

          - 191024_Client_Campain_name
          - 191023_Client_Campain_name

          or

          - 191024_Client_List_name
          - 191023_Client_List_name

=> Does it mean that we only get results if we search for the complete string: e.g. 191024_Client_List_name and NOT for *191024 or *Client_List_name* ?
=> What about blanks in the names?

As i said, we have over thousand campaigns and hundred lists inside mailchimp and have to grab the right one, easily.

          thanks for clearance ;-)

191024_Client_Campain_name will be impossible to search by parts

If you named campaigns like "191024 Client Campain name" it would be possible to search by separate words. There is no wildcard support, we checked. Maybe they will change it in the future.

              OK. Thanks. We will try.
When do you think the update will be ready?

                  Wow! That is fast!

Yes, i can confirm that Version 1.04 is working for 'Select: MailChimp Campaigns' BUT does not work for 'Select: MailChimp Lists'.

And i recognized that sometimes it takes some time to crawl through >1.5K datasets.
But that's fine. Users will get use to it ;-)

                  Regards,

I understand the problem. For some reason Maillchimp API doesn't provide the ability to search through lists.
