Could reports from Advanced pack used with custom entity

if we create a new entity "turnover" and fill it with our data (account, date, category, turnover).
Can Advanced pack Reports work with it?

yes, Reports could work with custom entities. You could try it on the demo.

I tried, but i am not able to choose my field category for grouping, it is not shown.

You can select grouping only for grid report. What report do you need?

I tested with grid report, the fields category1 and category2 are not available to choose for grouping.

You can not grouping by text field for any entity (not just custom)

Can you give me a list which field types are allowed, and what other restrictions exists?
So if we have text categories we must give them a number code?

if your category has less than 255 symbols, you can use varchar type
