Sales Pack: Intended Work Flow for Opportunities and Quotes?

Hey Team,

(Fresh install for testing)

We like the new updates to the Sales Pack showing Quote Items in Opportunities directly, but we can't see how to print/email a quote PDF template based on an opportunity. Is there a way to do that? Or do we still need to use the Quotes screen for that?

If we go into the Quotes module, there are no quotes listed. If we try to make a new quote based on the existing opportunity that had items added on creation, then we get a 500. The log says

[2024-01-30 02:01:24] ERROR: Slim Application Error Type: TypeError Code: 0 Message: Espo\Modules\Sales\Tools\Quote\ConvertService::cop yItem(): Argument #1 ($item) must be of type Espo\Modules\Sales\Entities\QuoteItem, Espo\Modules\Sales\Entities\OpportunityItem given, called in /storage/clientmanager.fedpest.com.au/custom/Espo/Modules/Sales/Tools/Quote/ConvertService.php

That's when we try to select the opportunity...

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Opportunity Items have been always there, it's not a new feature. We already fixed the error in the v2.1.3.

Sending PDF in email is not supported for Opportunities.

Print to PDF is an out-of-the-box feature of EspoCRM. But it's not not fully supported to print Opportunity Items I think. It was not designed at least.

Okay, so the idea would be to create an opportunity and then a quote based on that opportunity. And print/email from the quote.

As long as we update to 2.1.3
