Module - replacing list view

Hello i'm working on a module that adds a on hover view for entities list views and i need help with replacing list view for entities. I'd like it to work after you import the module it replaces list view for the entities or replaces default list view (I would prefer not to replace actual files but if its not possible without it i know i can do it in afterInstall script ).
