Quick way create fields for entities?

I need to create a lot of fields for different entities. I was wondering if there was a quicker way in stead of using the GUI?

Haven't done it myself, but you can check the code that creates new fields and hopefully figure it out.

Did you tried to add fields through custom directory and rebuild whole instance after that?
