    Suggestion : Workflow action : send email, and assign generated email to team/user

    When a workflow sends out an email, the generated email is not assigned to a team or user.

    Maybe it is an idea to allow the assignment of the teams/user of the generated email directly in the workflow.

    It should be assigned only to origin entity (Account, Contact, etc.). What is the reason of assigning to team or user?

      Hi Tarasm, that is because if you are not in the team and you can only see emails that are assigned to a team, you don't see that email.

      Eg:

      Create a student record, assign coursetype, assign contact.
      Workflow : send an email to the finance department (subject : new student, please send invoice) for invoicing (not done in espo) + store the email: email is attached to the student record.
      Since the email sent out has nobody assigned, student manager will not see it.

      What I do now is trigger a second workflow that assigns the new email to a team.

      Its not a big deal, just a suggestion. If you have another approach, I'd be interested.
