    Hi,

I defined all the portal setup as per requirements (refer to screencaps below) and when the access using the URL, i get a 404 error. I am not sure if i am missing out any setps. I am lost as I cannot find any help in the documentation. Appreciate any help. Thank you.

(odd: the forum seems to be timing out too fast)

    Hi,
Please check whether you have the proper permissions https://docs.espocrm.com/administrat...n/#permissions. If the permissions are OK, then check your web server configs (virtual host configs).

      Hi Maximus ,

Thank you for your reply. I am totally lost. The Espocrm documentation was no help as it says the virtual host setup is only required for custom URL. If you look at the screencap provided, i am not sure what i have defined is custom url or not. I think i am not. Please check the screencaps and advise where i need to go. My site is on the cloud hosting server, i will need all the help to advise the hosting admin on this and i should avoid giving vague instruction.

Very much appreciate your help on this. This posts may also help many more who have the same problem as me. Thank you.

I believe this issue is related to your webserver configs. Do you have the access to your instance (not portal) w/o any issues?
BTW if you tick the 'is Default' box in the portal configs, then you will be able to reach the portal by this url: http://reports.emastpa.com.my/emasdmtem/portal/

          Hi Maximus ,

Thank you for the assistance. The portal URL generated by the system was "http://reports.emastpa.com.my/emasadmtem/portal/" (refer screencap). If click this url you will get the same error. There is a error in the system in generating the URL. The correct URL should be "http://reports.emastpa.com.my/emasadmstem/portal/". The system missed out the a "s" character (in red font). Once i changed that. it seems to work fine. You can test it to verify.

Open Administration -> Settings -> fix your system URL in the 'Site URL' parameter.

                Hi Maximus ,

I managed to resolve most the issues i had except for this one. It is stumped me. I get this "(403) Assignment Permission Error" every time the user of the portal saves a record. What does error mean and how do i resolve it?

                  Hi,
I apologize for the delayed reply. Was on a vacation.
This is a very weird error. It shouldn't occur. I tried to reproduce but nothing.
Assignment Permission Error means that this user tried to assign another user this entry w/o Assignment Permission. This permission is available for the admin and regular type users only, not portal. By default the assigned user field is Read-Only for the portal users, so you shouldn't be able to change it. Did you change the system code to allow your portal users to assign users?
