Can i define a field in the espo table as a unique field?

I know i should be trying this out myself but i am afraid of other unknown consequences. Let me explain what we are trying to do. We want to define an Entity called Claim Records which consists of a "Bill Number" which would be Name field. We want this field and another field "Customer id" as unique for each row (no duplicates allowed) in the DB Table for the entity. By doing this, when a user enter a record it will check for duplicate and reject.

Can this be done without affecting (messing up, i mean) the espo system processes? Any help and advise will be most appreciated. Thank you in advance.
