Calendar Colors

Hi just wanted to know how one can color a calendar entry not based on the event type but rather based on a color stored in an entity. The calendar seems to only based its color on the event type e.g. meeting or using the colors specified in a json file but we want it to pull directly from a database field stored against an entity
