Need Help is updating date

What files do i need to update in order to change the value of the date and time which is being used to save the leads and comments.
Basically, i need to add a few hours to the time originally being entered in the table currently.

only for lead entity?
for existing or for new records?
and what field? (custom or basic)

For all entries done from the application. Is there a common file which we can modify to make the required change.

all datetime fields are stored in UTC. Maybe you need only to change timezone in your preferences and global in crm?

Yes, I want to do that but i am not anle to find the settings. Can you guide me to these settings because in my data>config.php my timezone is set correctly (Asia/Kolkata)?
