Displaying images from the external resources(S3, Google drive, etc.)

Hi,
Is it possible to display image in Layout (image field), if we don't add this image to the local storage "data/upload"? In the data base, "attachment" table, I can see such attributes as "storage", "storage_file_path", if they intended for solving such problem, how I can use them?
