Many-To-Many Relationship with additional Attribute

Hey, so I have a Many-To-Many relationship between two Entity types, event and material. Now is it possible to have an additional attribute, like amount, in the m:n relationship table so I can specify the amount of a material when creating a new event? I couldn't find anything in the Entity Manager and I was wondering if there is a way to set this up manually. Thank You!
