    How to write an extension??

    Hi there,

I have been trying for several hours now to write a _very_ basic extension as described in a blog article here:

    https://www.espocrm.com/blog/creatin...nsion-package/

I have managed to finally get the two entities "Project" and "Project Task" to show up after some fiddling. [Aside: It is probably worthwhile mentioning that the above-mentioned article's "manifest.json" was not even valid json (it's using single quotes instead of double quotes). This, in turn, causes the "extension upload" feature in EspoCRM to reject it.]

Am I now supposed to see an option called "Projects" in the top menu bar? If not, how do I achieve this? Is there any proper documentation on the whole process because my assessment so far is that this is a great product but it is not documented properly for developers to make customisations/extensions.

    Thanks for your help..
    .

Thank you for your reply, Tanya. I unfortunately cannot find any item called "Project" in the Admin->User Interface option. I assume that this either means that the example either does not implement this option or that I have missed something.

I'll probably need to give up at this stage as it has taken me hours to go nowhere. As much as I would love to use this framework, I cannot find the developer documentation/assistance I need (and would not like to have to bother nice people like you to help me each step of the way).

      Thank you.

Did you rebuild and clear cache and refresh the page?
if yes, check log file (data/logs)

I did, thank you, Tanya. I'm afraid I had to move on - the learning curve appears too steep and the developer resources are sparse. Thank you very much for your help, though.
