is it possible to load linked entity based on it's parent

what I wanna a accomplish is : I have table1 and table2 , when I select an item from table1 it loads the items related to it from table2 and loads it to the view so I can select it,

so basically I wanna select parent , when selected it loads it's children in droplist so I can choose one of them!
