Email attachments

I am wondering why attachments seem to disappear from the emails after a short time (2 Weeks or so)
is there a limit to the time.

if their is a limit i would like to remove it

Are you sure of that? I'm using a lot it as my opportunities archive. I save the emails linking them to opportunity, if they are really missing, I'm lost. Please confirm that yuri

i am sure they are no longer attached to the email entity overtime now this is not too much of a big deal for me since my email servers still has all the files on it.

but when I search for an old email inside the email entity the attachments of old emails seem to be missing but like i said they still exist but only on my actual email servers
