scope switch?

I want to do a fusion of client/src/views/modals/select-records.js and client/modules/crm/src/views/calendar/modals/edit.js, but not sure how to do it. I want to alternate between scopes, but I want to select an item in the scope selected, not edit. Any hint how to do this?
