Cannot view Account detail nor Contact detail

For some reason, I am unable to view the detail for Accounts or Contacts. The lists for both show all of my entries, but selecting either one only updates the URL in the address bar but the page does not update. Also, I am unable to create new Accounts or Contacts. The application appears stuck with "Loading..." at the top of the page.

OK, so I see that this bug report doesn't have a lot of detail associated with it. Can anyone suggest where I might go to gather clues about what is going wrong? I've looked in the log files but there are only warnings that don't seem to be related to this issue.

As an additional piece of data, I restored a backup and was able to get things working again. I then tried to add additional phone number types. I edited (after making a backup) /Espo/Modules/Crm/Resources/metadata/entityDefs/Contact.json, performed a rebuild, and cleared caches. Bam - I once again am unable to view Accounts or Contacts. Check apache error log. Check data/logs/.

I restarted the server and attempted to load an Account detail record. The only messages in the Apache log file are startup messages. The only message in the Espo log file is a startup error about not being able to connect to MySQL through the socket file, but I know that it is able to connect as I am able to create Calendar events.
