Cannot use the TLS encryption protocol for IMAP mail

    Hi,

I have configured IMAP using the TLS encryption protocol. But when testing the connection, it fails. I followed the steps below:

    STEP BY STEP

    1. Select Emails Tab -> top-right menu -> Personal Email Accounts
    2. Click on Create Personal Email Account

    In the Main section
    3. Input valid Email Address, Name

    In the IMAP section
4.1 Input valid your Host name, your Email Client Username and Email Client Password.
    4.2 Input Security is TLS
    4.3 Input the IMAP Port = 993.

    5. Click on Test Connection button

ACTUAL: Show message "Error 500: cannot read - connections closed ?" when clicking on Test Connection button

EXPECTED: Show message "Connect is OK" and when clicking on Test Connection button

    Hi,

We use Laminas Mail library for IMAP client. I don't think there's a bug. Gmail might does not support this type of connection of that port. Use SSL, it's secure.
If you find EspoCRM good, we would greatly appreciate if you could give the project a star on GitHub. We believe our work truly deserves more recognition. Thanks.

      Hi,

      Thank you for your response.

Pretending if Gmail doesn't support TLS for IMAP mail. Then, I used another mail server like Outlook to test it. However, it still doesn't work.

Please give me feedback on this.

      Thank you
