Side Panel (Detail Small) still occupies empty space even without anything to show

Hi,
If I remove the "Default" view from my side panel's detailed view in the Layout manager, then, the side panel is not showing, as expected, but it leaves an empty space that should be occupied by the main panel, in my opinion.

Sorry, it's how it's supposed to work. Maybe in future we will improve this.
