Opening Gmail compose page in new window

I have installed the Google link extension and connected a personal email address via Oauth. Outbound mails are sent correctly through gmail.

If I am browsing a contact and click on the contact's email address, I am redirected to the gmail URL where I compose a new email. The contact's email address is already filled in.

I see 2 problems:
1. After I hit the button "Send", the email is sent but the gmail page does not close
2. In order to return to Espo, I need to hit the browser's "Back" button

Is this the normal process? Is there a way to configure Espo so that the Gmail page opens in a new window (currently is opens and replaces the Espo window) ?

The Gmail page opened on an email address click is not a behavior of Espo or Google Integration. It's seems it's how your browser handles "mailto" links. You might have the parameter "Use an external email client" enabled in Preferences in Espo. If you uncheck this parameter (which is not checked by default), then emails will be composed from within Espo.
