It would be good if we could assign different masks and lists to different groups/teams of users.
We use formula to slot in or to fade out fields (mask).
What is even more important is different masks and lists for users of portals.
Because they should see less of the information normal users can see.

Instead of dynamic logic you can use field level security to hide certain fields for portal users.
